Operation Introduce the Black Hole Cats to Eve was a reasonable success!
- Rorschach stared at Eve for a little, then started ignoring her
- Angleton stared at Eve for a while, sniffed in her general direction, then started ignoring her
- Eve noticed Rorschach, hissed at Angleton, made unhappy kitty noises, and tried to bury her head in my arm. She did NOT extend her claws at all, which I know because her paw was right on my arm.
In short, no one tried to kill anyone! YAY! |

Hey, friends list (and random peoples reading this, I suppose...),
If I were to do a Pokemon Breeding service for Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, where I'd be willing to breed you any pokemon you wanted, with whatever egg moves, nature, and ability you wanted (all within reason of course), would anyone want to take advantage of it? I'm just kind of... ridiculously fond of breeding, but I currently have nothing I want for myself.

So a lot has kinda been going on in my offline life, mostly having to do with school, but I've... been kinda hesitant about putting things here. Mostly because a lot of it is boring, a lot of it is me whining about how much crap I have to do, a lot is whining about policies and people and aarg.
But I had my first dream in Japanese last night.
Okay, it wasn't entirely a dream in Japanese. I dreamed I was in Japan and talking out loud practicing my Japanese, and I said something that was wrong, and like all the Japanese people within earshot turned and gave me funny looks, and then the person right next to me corrected me. I was using the wrong verb, but I forget which verb it was or even what grammar construct it was or all that. But the dream was definitely in Japanese.

So, my friend and I were planning out next semester during lecture today. Then we got into future plans, which wound up being the rest of college.
It is entirely possible for me to:
- Major in computer science
- Minor in Japanese
- And concentrate in visual arts
And still finish in 4 years. I'll need to keep taking five classes a semester, and God help me if I fail Japanese, but I can do it.
What this entails:
Comp Sci
- taking AI, Advanced Algorithms, and Computer Graphics next semester (Fall '09)
- taking Computer Systems and another advanced undergraduate subject Spring '10
- taking the thesis-writing class and software lab ASSUMING THEY GET THEIR PANTS ON during senior year
- taking one CI-M, because they force us to take one already
Japanese
- taking Japanese for the rest of my time at MIT
- taking one class with a Japanese language concentration
Visual Arts
- taking one more introductory class (probably Spring '10)
- taking one art history class (dunno when)
Graduating the Institute
- BIOLOGY AHAHAHA
That's... 16 classes, over the course of 4 semesters. Entirely possible. Reasonable, even.

- Majority of 4.301 project
- Study Japanese for an hour every day
- Get most of the work on Marta cosplay done
- Write at least half of Hirsa's first scene for my dating sim
- Spend a bit of time at home with my family
Things I managed to do over spring break:
- Small fraction of 4.301 project
- Study Japanese for an hour
- Bought scrap fabric for Marta. Also fabric for her fanny pack and a bias tape maker
- Wrote five lines of Hirsa's first scene
- Spent a LOT of time at home. Somewhat with family.
